In about 120 countries up to 2 Mio people speak ESPERANTO (Wikipedia)

My Grandfather was one of them. In his century it wasn’t common to travel by airplane, it was even special to have pen pals from all over the world. But he had! They didn’t learn English in school but he learned Esperanto himself and wrote to others in that language. He loved to share the idea of a non national language for the whole world. I was about 7 years old the time he explained it to me and regrettably not very interested as a child. But now, now I understand his enthusiasm. I remember that he had a huge ESPERANTO flag above his door. I never thought about writing in English and still Iḿ not good, BUT it’s towards international understanding – English is my Esperanto.

Update 07.10.16
Some weeks ago, I saw the Google Translator Plugin on another website quite interesting and checked it out. I think it’s a good solution to be even more international and “professional”.
